Fedge
Another job got crossed off the list today, our fedge has been in place for a number of years and is now nicely established. However in summer, it can get a bit wild and take over the path to the houses at the back of our garden. So, after being inspired by a similar fedge on a trip to Scotland last year, I've finished weaving some of the branches together to tame it a little. Its a bit tricky as its made from willow and if the branches point down, they stop growing. We'll see how it does now its set up. (A fedge is a cross between a hedge and a fence, ours is made from willow)
Other tasks today involved moving the lettuces from the veg bed into pots to make room for some onions, planting potatoes in the big barrel and braving a trip to the supermarket. I was the only person I saw wearing a mask so felt like a bit of an idiot, but also much safer so no regrets.
Today's Soundtrack: Is still 'Verde Mas Alla' by Jenny and the Mexicats, the seriously catchy trumpet is stuck in my head.
