Easter time...

Palm Sunday tomorrow and so begins Holy Week and the lead up to Easter Sunday. We trust in the God of Easter and resurrection at a time when so much is uncertain.

It’s been a beautiful day. Not least because I’ve chatted with friends and even those I don’t know so well. I have a list of seven ladies who come to our church Community Lunch and called them this afternoon. All are happy and being well cared for. One said she has several WhatsApp groups that keep her chatting all day! She is 87. Another friend said she plans to make her Christmas presents in this gift of time.

D has been somewhere at the bottom of the garden for most of the day, pootling happily. And this evening we’ve watched a wonderful Michael Portillo programme of Hong Kong. Lots of thoughts of SweetArt and her family, and fantastic memories of her birthday last year when I joined her and GadgetKid to celebrate.
