Celebration on hold.

Today we should be at a party to celebrate the Golden Wedding Anniversary of my sister and brother-in-law.
Needless to say it has been postponed, but what a great celebration we will have when this is over.
We had a very long chat on the phone this morning reminiscing.
Funny how we both remember different things.
She was living with us at the time, as our parents had retired to Cornwall the previous July.
They came up for the wedding, but we can’t remember how we all fitted in our house.
Our eldest son was almost 5 months old.
Mr C’s mum and dad looked after him for the day, but came up to see the bride and groom come out of church.

The extra is the happy bride and groom.

So very Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary to
them both.
We will raise a glass or two to celebrate.

Our special meal will be:
Sautéed garlic prawns and mushrooms.
Rump steak, with broccoli, and new potatoes.
Pineapple soufflé.

The wine is a red Domaine la Soumade , Rasteau, 2016.
From one of our favourite vineyards, in the Southern Rhône.
