Territorial Dispute

I know it isn't long since I blipped a sparrowhawk but, they're such a rare sight in the garden I usually don't even get a shot. Today we were honored by a second visit.

I took the main shot in the morning but in the afternoon (Extra) we had a "He was looking up to see if she was looking down to see if he was looking up at her" moment. It didn't last long.

You see, he thinks we put a post in a secluded part of the garden so he could eye up the birds, then have a suitable perch for dinner. She thinks we put up a post to keep her hazelnut pantry off the ground away from the mice.

She won: he went!
