Brief Encounter.
We had a lovely day out today. We went to the train station at Carnforth, Lancashire which is where the classic film, Brief Encounter, was filmed.
The blip is, what has become, the famous clock featured in the film.
Whilst the station still functions as a railway station, it also features the Brief Encounter Heritage Centre where there are various exhibitions with refreshment rooms and bakery. There is also a film room which shows a restored version of the film itself several times a day. The staff, all volunteers, were very charming and enthusiastic.
V has seen the film a few times but it has always eluded me so, on the way home, I ordered the blue-ray version so that I can put that right.
