A delivery

For many years we have been buying coffee beans from John Watt in Carlisle, an independent and long-established company where, besides running a popular cafe, they roast coffee beans. A lot of people buy coffee of all kinds from them. We bulk buy coffee beans. 

Although we are okay for the moment, as Gordon had fairly recently bought in a supply, we were a bit concerned about this lockdown lasting a long time and we might run out. That's when he found he could order by phone (or online) and have them delivered. He chatted to the lady taking the order and she said that although obviously the café was closed, they were still roasting, selling and posting coffee out. There were only two people involved (we think the owners) and she said they would continue for as long as they could 'as it brings a bit of money in'. We do need to support people like this if at all possible

Bags of beans arrived today. And it is very, very good coffee!
