When the most important thing in your life is colouring and you are right-handed and you go and fracture your right thumb in an accident with a car door, you really have no option but to learn how to use your left hand.


Really lovely Mother’s Day, the first time for a long, long time that we’ve all been together on the day. We all met at younger daughter’s flat near Alexandra Palace, where she had put on a wonderful spread. How they managed to cater for five adults, three children and three dogs I don’t know, but they did - and comfortably. (Extra is all us girls)

Great food, lots of laughs - brilliant day.

And before we left the hotel this morning, we met, quite by chance, Kath Gordon and sons - they were off to Wembley for some reason!

A great visit to the theatre at Ally Pally last night. The theatre, newly opened after 80 years, is splendid and the Richard III production was stunning.
