Baking

Took Miss PHL fir a walk round the block and found a lovely wee path along the river Esk - it was nice to get out for an hour.

Home for some leftover fish pie before truing my hand at egg and butter less chocolate cake and beer bread (no yeast). Both turned out better than I hoped but may need a little tweaking before I try them again.

The bread is nice; crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The crust is a little sweet but tasty nonetheless and we all enjoyed a piece with butter before dinner.

We had the cake with cream and raspberries fir pudding - it’s quite fudgy in the middle so went well with the sour cream I was using up.

Now watching the first Captain America - not bad so far.
