Kramfors Beck in the spring-winter

As Karin, Jan and I walked today it was the more wintry side of spring-winter that seemed dominant.
We were in Kramfors to see an exhibition, to visit the workshop that fixed our car a while back, and to see our friend Karin.  HarlingDarling has written a lot about the day on her blip so I won't repeat that here.
However, while HD was getting the car looked at Karin and I walked up this beck that runs through Kramfors. In places it runs very quietly, as you can see in this picture, with the sun reflecting off the ice along the edges where there is less flow. In other places the stream roars over falls and weirs, with fish ladders placed to help the salmon migrate up the beck, as in the extra. Those spots are dramatic just now with a mixture of ice, snow and roaring water.
It was a lovely day with bright sun the whole time, but very cold, barely above freezing even in the warmer parts of the day.
