Imprisonment - Day 6

Imprisonment - Day six
Friday 27th March 2020

I saw 24 cars this morning and I've still not caught any moles. One little devil dug two molehills in the area I moved the traps from yesterday so I ve moved one back to there I. The hope of nobbling the little blighter as feel I'm getting close now.

The greenhouse/wood store is nearly finished. I put in the bracing supports today and fitted the feet to raise the whole structure off the ground to stop the timber from rotting. The Parcelforce driver who delivered the M10 coach bolts for the feet said from the gate that he's never been busier working 15 hours a day. He also said the Government had removed the HGV hours restrictions.

I needed a longer coach bolt for one joint and managed to make one by welding two bolts together.

All I've got left to do now is to tighten up all the coach bolts and fit a capping made from the ply offcuts to the top of the ply wood sides to stop any water ingress seeping into the exposed edges.

In the evening Ros had a poor picture on the kitchen television so I went up in the loft to check the aerial connections as they sometimes need a wiggle to make good contact. I opened the hatch and was confronted by a dead mouse in my little nipper mousetrap. Well I might not strike lucky with moles but at least I've had one kill today.
