Sally Mair - Loving life

Front garden

Having spent last week working on the back garden, I was delighted to see sunshine this morning which meant I could make a start on the front. I did finish the top bed of which this is now than half as it goes around the corner of the lawn. It took a good three hours including re-burying the Virgin cable which works its way back to the surface every couple of years! This picture was when I was about half way through, I'm very pleased. I still have a little more than the same to do. As we are set up from the road, our garden has a terraced front edge. All very pretty but an extra and sometimes slightly difficult area to access and keep tidy. Lovely colour though so it is worth it.
Other than that, a fairly quiet day. My shoulder is hurting from my two slips in India, both times on a wet tiled floor but each time I clunked the same shoulder down, very hard! I had some ultra - sound when I was there, but it still niggles and I can't stretch up or round at times as well as I could before without it hurting. I'm probably making it worse with all this gardening. Ah well.
Hoping for another nice day tomorrow to get another stretch of flower bed cleaned up.

We should have been going out to our annual Bridge dinner tonight at The Royal Burgess Golf Club, its always fantastic food and a really enjoyable evening. We've postponed it till the next season starts in the Autumn. Something to look forward to. Leftovers for us tonight instead! Ah well.

Keep well and safe everybody.
