Thank you everyone for your kind comments on my 2555.  If I had known, I would have done something a little more special! You are a lovely bunch of people.

However, today is HeartForHeros - Here.  The idea came from my friend HeartFreek and it is a great idea, so here is my entry.

I would like to give my heart to the telecoms industry during these challenging times.  Some of you may not know but the telecoms industry has been classed as 'Key Workers' by the Government.  

I work in the telecoms industry and if it wasnt for the site operatives out in the field making sure fibre (broadband) connections stayed connected, telephone masts maintained, maintence on those green boxes you see on the side of the road, those big masts you see in fields etc, the  emergency services would face communicaton problems but also YOU dear blipper, the public, would not be happy.  You see, if your broadband or telephone (mobile) went down, the following would happen, you wouldn’t be able to speak to loved ones, message friends and family, work from home, use the internet, watch TV (you would miss netflix!), play games, keep children educated via online learning / listen to the news / play podcasts / enjoy online streaming /do your online shopping, be apart of an online community - the list is endless....I’m sure you get the point!    So please give a big thank you to those people who are making sure telecoms infrastructure doesn't go down and that you have the technology you have become so reliant on and if you are poorly, someone can call the emergency services for you!
