Feeling low?

These pom-poms primula - primula denticulata - were weighed down with the overnight rain, the heavy dew and the overall dreariness of the day. Much of the rest of the country was in glorious sunshine.

I do know however that they will rebound when the weather clears in a day or so.

Personally, I am in good spirits. Becoming a bit obsessive about washing hands. But getting on with paperwork and work for the church.

The dog has been getting a slightly longer walk but at least I am managing to keep up my 10,000 steps a day (much still in the house and garden). When out everyone very respectful of keeping a distance and acknowledging that were were doing so with a smile or word of thanks.

Nearly missed the 8pm NHS clap as we’d been watching TV on a slight time shift. It seemed that every house was out or at the window applauding, cheering and whooping and even banging tins. It was difficult to see given the mist - see extra.

It felt both a bit unBritish but at the same time very uplifting. We have several NHS workers around us - one of them self isolating - so it was good to be able to recognise their - and other key workers’ - contribution.
