ON A COLD AND FROSTY MORNING.....
…..we were up and out before 6.30 a.m. Given that I was still up at 2 a.m. trying to get a delivery slot at any supermarket, which sadly, I didn’t manage, I was surprised that I was so perky this morning, but we had agreed last night that we would go out for our walk early this morning, so had to get up and get on.
It was and still is, a lovely morning with a beautiful sunrise and we were fortunate that it was behind us as we walked, so we didn’t need to squint too much. However, there was quite a frost last night, so it was chilly and "Jack Frost" was nipping our noses and fingers, especially mine, as I had only brought my fingerless gloves, but it was very enjoyable. I asked Mr. HCB to go behind the gate of the nearby Holiday Inn, so that he would be “inside” the field, intending to use it for the Abstract Thursday theme, but when I got home, decided that I would make a collage instead.
I took lots of selfies on the way - much to Mr. HCB’s annoyance, but I soon talked him round and said it was for a good cause - although I’m not sure that he thinks Blip is a good enough cause! I thought the middle left photograph might make you smile - reminded me of us - two characters - well as far as I am concerned, that’s the way we will get through all this malarkey.
We got to the garage and I had written a list, so put it through the window and the staff were very kind and helpful. Again, I thought I might use the young man at the top as he was “inside” the M & S shop, but decided it would look better in a collage, so I’m afraid the AT challenge has gone by the board today. However, when he saw me pointing my camera at him, he gave me a smile and a salute - what a star!
Today I am hoping to get to grips with my new sewing machine - and I daresay, as the weather is set to be fair all day, Mr. HCB will be pottering in the garden again. According to the weather, it is due to get colder next week, so he wants to do as much outside as he can.
Have a great day, everyone - take care, stay safe and remember, even if you have to stay indoors, your life is what you make of it - we still need to live every day to the full. I’m now going to get my second cup of coffee and it’s not even 8 o’clock yet - I have a feeling it's going to be a long day!

what is it you plan to do
with your one wild
and precious life?”

P.S. DON'T FORGET TONIGHT - at 8.00 pm go to your front door or window and applaud to thank all doctors, nurses, carers, GPs, pharmacists and other NHS staff working hard to help those affected by the Coronavirus - I think this should also include all those teachers who have to go into schools to care for the children of these NHS workers and those working in all essential services. They all deserve a medal!
