“You have arrived at your destination.”  So says Google Maps if I put in directions to go home from somewhere south.  I haven’t. There is still 0.9 mile to go by road although just a short walk down this road.   Apparently it was blocked up at least 15 years ago.  Similarly many directions also suggest the route to the house goes from the other end of this blocked road.  Delivery men and visitors get confused and phone so we always give them our neighbour’s post code and they then have no problem.
The blocked road reminded me of the ways in which we have to adjust when things change from what was the norm despite some thinking we can carry on as in the past. 
Annoyingly there appeared to be a group of youngsters in the adjacent copse taking no notice of social distancing.
