Glitter

Day 2 of school CyclopsJnr was still keen.

One of the school tasks today was to take a nature walk and write about it. We’ve had new guidance from above last night that going out is limited, but we’re allowed a trip out for ‘exercise’ each day with household people so that all seemed fine to go ahead. There is a scrubby bit of woodland behind our bus stop so we decided to take our nature walk there. It was great, we saw all sorts of woodland things in there and behind it was the golf course which we also explored a bit. Both areas were completely deserted so that was ideal. CyclopsJnr had his notebook to take notes on the interesting things that he saw and he wrote about these things when we got home. These things included mud, bees, daffodils, a tunnel of branches that looked like an Autobot’s portal, and bugs on a burnt log.

Today’s side project topic was unicorns. We printed out an outline unicorn and coloured in its hair using different colours of glitter. We also made a lego unicorn and played at unicorn battles using their horns.

Also we played ball games in the driveway. And Granny & Grandpa phoned.

Keeping busy.
