Daffs
A similar walk to yesterday, for my officially sanctioned one excursion for exercise. This morning I drove to Huddersfield to get shopping for my Dad. Sainsbury's was remarkably quiet and well-stocked. The only things I could not get for him were tins of prunes and long-life milk. I'm sure he'll manage without for a few days.
Before that excitement I had a look at and read about Benozzo Gozzoli's "Procession of the Magi" - a fresco in the Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence. A complex, sweeping landscape with a winding procession of not only Magi but, even more prominently, various eminent members of the Medici family, who all, I understand, suffered from gout.
For music to accompany my walk I listened for the first time to Pink Flag by Wire, my favourite song being Mannequin.
