Sunshine

Today we made a den, played outside on bikes, cleared the conservatory and tried to fix the leak (ready for the sand pit tomorrow). We set up B's new mud kitchen outside and generally had an enjoyable day pottering around the house.

I walked to little sainsburys to get some flowers to leave on mum's doorstep but the queue was to the back of the shop, and it was crowded and I didnt want to stand in the shop for what might have taken 15 minutes to be our turn, so we abandoned that, Mum understood.

We saw a middle age lady outside who had just left the shop. She was having a panic attack and shaking all over. Another lady took her by the arm and walked her to her car while I talked to her from a safe distance and tried to help her calm down and take some deep breaths. I hope she is OK.

John's mum was supposed to visit today but we cancelled her, she is 72 and lives an hour away and its just isnt worth the risk. She drove over anyway and called from the local park. John met her there and collected B's gifts and they walked round the pond at a safe distance and chatted.

This evening we wrapped and put out B's presents for tomorrow. We also did up I's older bike with stickers, a new bell and basket etc. I'm excited for tomorrow.
