Saturday
M was up early as his latest garden project is to make a 'bonsai corner ' at the end of the barn. The walls are being painted cream and already it's looking nicer.
I would have been happy to sleep in but cant seem to do that anymore.
As usual Fletch greeted me with one of my slippers in his mouth and wagging his tail ..a sight to cheer anyone .
We took Fletch up to walk round the grounds of Abbey House which, after last nights announcement that all hotels & restaurants are now closed, was very quiet . The smell of cooking food wafted out of an open window, I assume it was for the staff that are still there. I hope those that have no where to go to are allowed to stay.
The wind was quite cold but it was good to get in a walk in amongst the trees. Apart for one other dog walker in the distance, we had the place to ourselves.
I had been dreading going to get food this morning... (the whole enormity of The present Situation occasionally overwhelmes me) I envisioned very empty shelves. But, I am determined not to panic buy.. We didnt want more than a few bits to top up and when we went into the Tesco Metro I was pleasantly surprised. (Yes the fresh food section was empty so I couldn't get any chicken but I got one pack of fish) Generally it wasnt bad, they even had bread. Ms favourite wine wasnt there ( last nights closure of pubs will have led to a bit of panic buying) but we got 2 of Tesco Finest shiraz. We will be good and ration our selves , we needed to cut down anyway! At the moment I could have easily imbibed every night
Back home I took my camera out . The Canon Users group is focusing on Macro.. I haven't a specific macro lens but my lenses have some macro ability but I wasnt impressed with my attempts. It got a bit cold and windy for staying outside.
My blip today is of an old ivy stump.. I thought it looked like it had a face of an animal.. a meerkat perhaps Hope its silly enough.
Take care everyone.. thank you for the comments and stars. Xxx
