Today on the field track between Dirleton and Yellowcraig we passed seven people, sixteen roe deer and saw several skylarks singing above. Between the Eel Burn on Broadsands beach and Yellowcraigs beach we saw about thirty people, all keeping their distance, several happy dogs and this bird which appears to be watching the waves near Fidra island. Until compulsory confinement to the house we are going out whenever possible, to places where we can walk while keeping our distance from other people. Fresh country air is a tonic.
