First day of spring
It’s the vernal equinox today, the first day of astronomical spring. It was a beautiful day and we were in the garden a lot. The hyacinths are all flowering and the birds were singing. Just what we needed after a trip to Waitrose at the appointed hour for over 70’s. People were wandering about and just standing still half the time. You’d have thought it was over 90’s and they looked about our age. Also they hadn’t stacked the shelves and the stuff was still in the cages. Waitrose have put the price of tea up by 99p and it only went up last month. I’m not going again, we’ll have to manage with what we’ve got.
My sister in Seattle made me laugh, apparently they’re calling the Coronavirus the Boomer Remover over there.
