Life is going to be an uphill struggle for most people now.  Hoping the tide will turn soon.
(Extra) The view from the top of the dune includes a distant view of two Fred Olsen cruise ships now anchored in the Forth until the time when they can resume cruising, with a third, the Boudicca, due to join the Balmoral and Black Watch tomorrow. 
It had been a good walk in the sunshine through the nature reserve and then easy to self isolate on the vast beach before returning by Gullane and back along the John Muir Way.  We had seen and heard all sorts of birds and several groups of roe deer but best was hearing the continual melodious songs of the skylarks in the reserve and the sound of lapping waves as we sat for a picnic, for a while forgetting about troubles throughout the world.   Later it was impossible to keep social distancing as we came back to the reality of presenr day shopping among the crowds in the supermarket..
