The Sugar Mill

Day 2 of our trip to Belize. We opted to forego the guided activities offered by the lodge and instead, spend the day exploring on our own. We wandered down the road which led to another road which led to Lamanai ruins. So we headed that direction. Along the way, we encountered a path with a sign indicating 12 minutes to Sugar Mill. We had no idea what was there so we decided to explore. We found an old sugar mill that had been abandoned in the 1880's tucked away in the jungle. What a wonder photographic opportunity it presented.
