Diary of an Edinburgher

Social Distancing Day 4

It was so sunny this morning that we sat outside for a while, after our exercises, of course. And I did some gardening - the lavender had all died off and looked awful, so I pulled it all out, ready for something new, if we can ever get to the garden centre.

The neighbours came to the gate for a chat, and to see if we needed anything. In fact, we've had so many offers of bringing shopping etc, it's been really sweet. OK so far, but let's see what it's like in a couple of months! We have local shops that I think we can still go to, especially now that the mobs of teenagers are being sent home from school. Yay!

JR took Archie for a walk in the afternoon while I listened to my audiobook. Same book that I started weeks ago!

JR has been cheered up because her Friday gym class friends are arranging to meet up at the same time to go for a brisk walk up Blackford Hill and have a picnic. Great idea.

We borrowed Christine's carpet washer contraption. JR is in a 'self isolation = spring clean' mode...
