One Street: Out to Lunch

We had several errands in Fairhaven today, and combined them with lunch at the Harris Avenue Cafe. It's easy to spot on my January 20 long view down Harris Avenue, as the building has a flat roof and a double street lamp in front of it.

The Terminal Building, on the northeast corner of 11th Street and Harris Avenue, houses the Harris Avenue Cafe and Tony's Coffee (not visible in today's blip). Built in 1888, it is the oldest continuously occupied commercial building in the Fairhaven Historic District and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. There are interesting details about it here.

We like going to the Harris Avenue Cafe for breakfast or lunch for the friendly, fast service, fresh flowers on the tables, and good food at good prices. My requested cup of tea was particularly appealing, and a half portion of their Greek Tuna Salad Sandwich with housemade yam fries meant supper would have to be a light meal!

(I suggested this shop window to Phil for his blip...)
