Between fen and mountains

Good Samaritans needed

I was appalled to read in the village news that the local Baptist church had been broken into and all the toilet rolls and hand sanitisers stolen causing substantial criminal damage. There are local people trying to help the vulnerable but with panic buying and other selfishness it seems like we are far from the 'wartime spirit' that is needed.  Let's hope that people begin to realise that we are all in this together. Isolation was difficult today as the weather was miserable with cold drizzle all day.  Despite this I decided to dress up and go for a walk.  I met the vicar's wife at the church and it was good to have a conversation outside the house.  We kept our distance but  the shop told me it been quite busy and that town was also busy mostly with older people. If this continues, a lock down will become inevitable as in France.
