The Humourist
An almost continuous sequence of email announcements arrived cancelling various events for at least the next two months which is the correct procedure to do.
The V&A Dundee is closing tomorrow, and the opening of the Mary Quant exhibition is postponed. Something to look forward to.
National Trust for Scotland is closing all buildings till the end of May, although gardens and large areas of Scotland under their ownership will remain open allowing exercise and access to fresh air and sun.
All churches are now closed and several speaking engagements I had been invited to are postponed. The list grows every hour. Pat and I are very relaxed about this and we will keep in contact with friends via video apps.
We have our garden space and we are a short distance from the seaside. Most of our beaches are deserted.
We are very impressed with the local volunteer groups that are springing up to help people who are housebound.
I started some garden work today, and have a whole list of projects being listed to do.
Pat has a few portraits and other art matters to carry out.
There is a good humour to all of this. The kindness of people we are involved with is overwhelming.
And so, today’s Blipfoto is of my thirty six year old Oliver Hardy money bank.
Thinking of you all and enjoying the Blipfoto community
