Mill Bridge (widwed180320)
My last week of hosting Wide Wednesday and as the (optional) theme is historical, I have gone for the Mill Bridge in Leamington Spa which provides a footpath over the Leam weir between Mill and Jephson Gardens.
The whole area is effectively a project kicked off in 1903 by William de Normanville, the borough engineer, in an effort to improve what had been settling ponds and a mill, providing a new children's play area and access into Jephson Gardens. de Normanville did a lot for the town in pushing through projects to improve the water supply and sewerage systems.
In the extra - the fresh chicken shelves in Sainsburys Leamington Spa.
There was at least plenty of fresh veg and some fish. Venison and duck too, but very little flour, pasta, baked beans and not much chocolate!
I'm looking forward to going through your entries - I'll star and comment on the ones I see later today and go through them tomorrow to catch up and decide on the awards.
