The Observers

The day got off to a very bad start - before breakfast I went to check on the 4 ewes and 7 lambs in the field beside our cottage and sadly one lamb was missing. I found it dead in a corner of the field presumably a victim of the rain despite its plastic coat. It was a good strong lamb but hypothermia was the likely cause of death.
As I carried it away I was followed by the ewe and her other lamb and the blip shows 2 of the other ewes coming to watch having heard her bleats.

After breakfast we caught the ferry to Iona and visited the Abbey. Mrs AMK wrote prayer messages for an elderly lady and a young boy both undergoing treatment for cancer. The other extra is of a window in the abbey with an interesting collection of stones.
