Morning on Mull
The day started well with dry weather and some early sunshine - yesterday 4 ewes and 7 lambs were turned out onto the field beside our cottage on D & L’s croft so I was keen to see how they had survived another cold wet night and thankfully the lambs were all on their feet and suckling their mothers.
We knew this wasn’t to last and by late morning the rain and gales started again - typical of how it has been for the crofters recently.
Later in the afternoon I had another walk round the field and found them all sheltering in a corner of the field where they were more protected from the elements. The extra shows a pair of the clever little lambs taking shelter behind a rocky headland in the field.
