The Hat on the Walkway

It was a beautiful, warm & sunny day today in Edinburgh. Hard to believe only a fortnight ago we had snow when today felt like the beginning of summer.

When I went out for my lunchtime walk I saw a woman in a sleeveless top basking in the sun, another woman sitting on a bench enjoying an ice-cream, plenty of office workers strolling about Edinburgh Park sans jacket ...... and this woolly hat complete with pigtails on top of one of the lights! Who knows whether the owner accidentally dropped it or intentionally discared it due to the weather. However, it did look rather fetching on the light and by the end of the day it was no longer there. Hopefully it has now been reunited with its rightful owner.

The 2 swans were also back, although they seemed to spend the day lazing around on the banks of the Loch rather than swimming in it. I took loads of pictures of them which were much better shots than this, but having already featured them on here twice recently, though I should go with something different. I'm sure the swans will be back on here in the near future though as they're such obliging photographic subjects!
