The Day it Became Real
This is campus at 1pm, a time you'd usually struggle to get a table. By the end of the day we'd been told not to come in tomorrow, all face to face teaching is suspended.
I spent the morning phoning clients of the women centre as they're closing for at least two weeks and trying to make plans for how to help the most vulnerable people we support.
The degree of separation of people I know who are infected became two, and those affected by isolation or financial effects became one.
From tomorrow both Mr C and I are working from home.
I kept my hair appointment. They, like the taxi drivers I spoke to are concerned about pay. Every single conversation I overheard or had was do with the virus.
I'm going to try to see it as an opportunity to get some things done around the house and do a lot of reading. Discussions on how to keep ourselves sane will commence this evening. Stay safe people.
