Sitting by The Lake......

...............for rather too long waiting for something that might just have happened but didn't. Grrr.. So, as the light was fading fast, I decided to call it a day - just about to put the lens cap on my camera when I heard a very loud "honking" and "flapping" and looked up and to my right and there was a large flock of geese just circling prior to landing on the lake - presumably for the night. There must have been at least 200 of them! I couldn't get them all in the picture - I've counted and I think I've caught 50 + in my shot. If I had managed to get the lot, they would have been just dots in the sky!

Weather has been dull all day but up to +4 deg - though the forecast is for it to become much colder overnight and snow is again a possibility tomorrow and Saturday.
