On Whixall Moss

Today we went to Whixall Moss NNR and sat in the car eating our picnic while the rain pelted down. We waited until it had stopped then had a walk on the Moss,there were some dramatic skies and even a few minutes of sunshine.

There weren't many birds around unfortunately although we did see a curlew flying over and a reed bunting.  Parts of the Moss were covered in water after all the rain and the paths very muddy. My blip is of the Moss, which always reminds me of photos of Africa.

As we drove back the sun came out and we had a lovely sunny evening. It's a shame that it wasn't like that for our walk.
