Changing Plans
My sister spoke to Mum yesterday, and I spoke to her today. She doesn’t want any of us visiting for her birthday, she would just be too worried. She is 100 years old a week today, coincidentally Mother’s Day as well.
It’s her call, it’s her birthday. And typically, she is worrying about us, not herself and Dad. For her, 100 is just a number, she doesn’t see it in any way as some sort of achievement.
Across the country, and around the world, best laid plans are having to change. And fast.
Blip taken on the Leeds Liverpool Canal. We walked the short stretch from Appley Bridge to Parbold and back. Plenty of bird song. Including the first Chiffchaff we have heard this year, always good - even in this very different and difficult year.
