Another Languedoc year...

How early?

Sick to death of one of the workmen saying he'd be at the house tomorrow, then not turning up, I found the perfect solution. I said I'd be there today at 7:30am and would be furious if he didn't turn up. It worked. Two of them arrived exactly on time, and had to work by portable lights until the sun rose.

My early arrival meant I had time to kill until all the other workers arrived. I planted the remaining 50 dogwoods, laid some of the tile offcuts in the greenhouse, shifted two x 1000litre tanks and reprogrammed the car trip computer. I also discussed the plans for the day with the painter, tilers and kitchen fitter and was home again by 10:30. A very productive and satisfying start.
