State of Emergency Blip

Our beloved Frankfurter bar being demolished.  Mind you, even if it hadn't closed up at the end of last year we wouldn't be able to go there those days, now that a state of emergency has been declared here in Spain. Universities and schools closed yesterday and everything else will be closed from tomorrow, except supermarkets and chemists.  A good decision I think. They say for at least two weeks, but it will probably be for longer for schools and unis.   You can only  go out to buy medicine, food and essential supplies.  We're pretty well stocked up with tins and jars of things and so only need to go out to buy fresh food and are lucky to have many supermarkets just a few mins walk away.  There were lots of empty shelves in Carrefour this afternoon but messages on the tannoy asking people not to panic buy and that they would be doing their best to keep items in stock.
