The Gate
Today we went a long walk there and back to see how far it was. It started with, "Where can we walk to for lunch?"
This was my best suggestion. It's a fair walk anyway, but in the snow it was even harder work. We tried to walk either on the roads or in the snow as the icy paths were very slippy.
We had a really nice meal with very pleasant service.
On the way we saw a whitevan man with a metal detector and a rake. He was raking the snow away and then metal detecting. He saved us from asking us what he was doing by speaking to us first. He was searching for the metal plate to mount one of those temprary signs that tell the drivers thier speed. In the snow he could not find it. Sadly we had not seen the sign when it was in place and could not help him.
I cannot exagerate how much my PC is playing up. We are expecting a new pair on Saturday and I think mine knows it! I'll boot up the laptop later and do my commenting. This PC is only happy today when it is playing spider solitaire (no really, it's true!)
