Edward .....

..... RIP
This is a little boy I both was a Health Visitor to and looked after once a week.
Tho' he was very disabled he gave a lot of pleasure to many people. I myself feel privileged to have known him. Life was never said to be easy but some people have more to cope with than others. He was a happy little boy and was given such a lot of care from his mother and brother, who also gained much from him.
For the last few years of his life he was in residential care as he became too heavy for his mother to manage but she religiously visited twice or three times a week and cared for him and took part in his physiotherapy sessions. I commend the care he had from his mother especially .
Tho ' I didn't attend the service I quietly said a prayer for him at 3.30pm. My thoughts are with his mother/ brother and the family.
I will remember the happy times with Edward ( Teddy) and the feeling I got when he took his first few steps with me , sadly this progress was short lived , I like to think he had some satisfaction from it tho'.
Today has been sunshine in and out with a strong wind and dark clouds looming at times , so far no rain .
Household chores this am then "A" came
we had a lovely lunch of pate on toast and coffee . Evening meal will be my fav of salmon new potatoes and vegetables .
Hope you've had a good day folks.

Grateful ..... for "A's" company this evening . Also for the ability to have been able to give just a little care to Edward.

RIP Angel
