Wiggly woo

Spent a lot of time today reading up on the processes to be observed in seeking to recommend a new minister for our church. We had the first meeting of the Nominating Committee last night and there is a lot to do over the coming months.

I took 2 breaks. One to pot up several tubers that had arrived the other day: begonias, gloxinia, dahlias and some lily bulbs.

The other was to start tackling the weeds which are beginning to grow. I cut the grass for the first time at the weekend which is a sign growth is well underway. And some of the larger daffodils in the garden are beginning to open up.

It was cool but clearly my forking brought this worm to the surface. For some reason the nursery rhyme popped into my head and for much of the day “There's a worm at the bottom of my garden’ became an earworm!
