Flight

The Mistress took me to town today. We were after Chia Seeds and Cacao Powder so our first stop was Simplifood, an organic bulk bin shop. As soon as the Mistress walked into the shop, she noticed a New Zealand Fantail caught inside, so she went back outside and got her camera.

She got about 50 shots of this little fantail, some in perfect focus, but this is the one she loved best as it shows all the wing motion as it takes off to another part of the store.

There were two other contenders for blip - the one where it sat on the Lorikeet Food, and the other with it reflected in the stores security mirror.

Anyway - that was our excitement for the day. After traipsing all over town for the Cacao Powder, we gave up and headed to Taylor Dam where I behaved well once the Mistress found the correct settings (I had mucked it up hehehe) and she got some good clean shots. She's talking about heading back there tomorrow as there's all sorts of things going on - with Swallows, Cygnets, Pied Stilts, Australasian Coots and Pukekos. Sing out if anyones wants to join us!
