Still we close our eyes

It was the first time I'd left the house in a week. I thought I had better make an effort today before I forgot what the real outdoors and real people were like. I went to McDonalds on the way in, got my tea and went straight up the High Street for a change to take some early morning pictures of snowy Solihull. I almost settled on a picture of a post box outside the Mason's Arms which looked very Christmassy with its snowy roof. Well, it's not Christmas anymore so I moved on up the road nearly forgetting my cooling tea I'd stood on the pub window sill.

I finally decided on St Alphege's Church again looking quite pretty through the trees with the weird light reflecting off the snow on the grave stones. I was quite happy and went off to the council house. It had started snowing again by the time I got to my desk.

I went home at lunchtime after my meeting and finished the day there. I don't expect I'll bother going back in this week.

Track? My title 'Still we close our eyes' is in the lyrics. Graveyards and closing eyes go quite well, don't they? I hadn't heard this fabulous track for ages and it was coming out of a car stereo near the church. This concert clip is great too. Nothing like a bit of classic Rainbow! - Sixteenth Century Greensleeves
