River Medway floods reach peak flow
It was the annual signalman's meeting in Tenterden this morning. An interesting three hours sat in St Michael’s Church. Not even the most devout or hardy of parishioners would have to have sit for that length of time in a cold church. Some useful stuff and some stuff of a more general nature which should have been done in the annual members meeting.
After a late lunch, we walked into town for a few bits and pieces and to see how the river was faring. Quite high but not as high as it has been this year. Everything was very drab so I thought it best to use Mono. Adjacent to this shot is a burned-out restaurant which went up in flames the week we were in the Lakes. The devastated remains are now flooded. There was a very pleasant sunset on the way home.
