Light Skimming

As warm temperatures continue to prevail the ice and snow recede, exposing wet leaves on a steep slope to which I did not pay attention causing me to slip unceremoniously. Fortunately the camera was unaffected!

In part I was distracted by the scene I was trying to capture. Late sun, low in the sky, finding spots to on which to shine on the sides of trunks and skimming the tips of leaves on the ground.

I like the reflected light in the shadows, although I'm not sure this image shows it all that well. I shall have to pay attention to that in future.
