Branch Echo

Clear with blue sky, but colder and windy, I can go out later in the afternoon as the days are slightly longer now. With long cast shadows, I saw this branch, sticking up out of the frozen snow covered water, echoing the fallen tree trunk beyond it.

If I had been dressed for it, I could have laid down to get a lower perspective and reduce the distance between them. I like this soft light at the end of the day and the texture it creates in the snow from the low angle of the sun.

Finding the correct white balance to show the sunlight, yet reflect how cold it was, is still a work in progress for me.
