Ministers

We had a somewhat special meeting at Church today: the appointment of a nominating committee to look for a new Minister. Along with 12 others I was nominated so the next few months will have a new dimension to them.

Speaking of Ministers, the announcement today that Mike Russell MSP is to stand down at the next election is a sad one. Nearly 7 years ago I started blipping. If louisemac was my mother for introducing me to Blipfoto, feorlean was my father. Each has offered encouragement over the years and I look forward to his future blips even after the MSP and Ministerial duties have come to an end.

One of my first 10 blips - on 21 April 2013 and the 4th in what has been an unbroken daily posting since then – was of a stained glass window at Church.

By coincidence, and not design, today’s blip, is also of one of the stained glass windows. I had been up in the choir gallery taking some photos of the congregation when I saw a number of round windows not easily seen from the ground floor. One was of Liberty, another of Grace. There was Mercy. And with covid-19 in the news ,Healing nearly got the blip.

But I’d decided on this one of Peace as that seemed more apt with all the news from Syria and the various borders.
