Dog Violet

Not much achieved today - a ‘day off’ I suppose. Just a bit of washing and cleaning.

Took Finlay out this morning once it had stopped raining - not much to see and blip really.

Had a hunt around for my macro lens and found it - rolled under the table beside my chair! I knew it couldn’t be far away.

Then after lunch I went for a wander in the woods - hoping to find some fungi, but none to be found. Must be too wet! I did however find a few of these tiny flowers, they are less than the size of my thumbnail.

Got down on hands, knees and head with the camera on the ground to get this shot (no tilting screen on the 6D). I like it because the background has been thrown out of focus. As ever, looks so much better in large

Also found a couple tree casualties - one in extra, which has left a huge spike of trunk pointing skywards where the main trunk has been blown away.
