Take a good look at the Canada goose in the lead. How is it different than the rest?
One - it is gliding, rather than flapping (I can tell because its wings are in focus at the shutter speed I used)
Two - its legs are hanging in the breeze (ok, one of the birds behind is not so tight and tucked, either)
Three - it is ahead of the rest
