Is this . . .
. . . what I think it is?
It was.
And I think she was pleased.
It was what she had wanted for a long, long time and today we gave it to her - a Tumbling Track. (Apparently you blow it up and then it gives a safe surface on which to . . . tumble!)
This is our enthusiastic gymnast, who will be 11 on Tuesday and will spend 4 hours tomorrow doing gymnastics. She will have to wait for some fine weather to set out the track in the garden, but she is already reading the instructions and making plans.
Today we:
- impressed two 13 year olds by collecting them from school in a black Jag (impressing 13 year olds takes some doing, as anyone involved with them will know)
- arrived at Tonbridge Pool for the youngest's lesson. I watched her lesson and everyone else, including grandad, swam. (He is a little dismayed that they can all beat him in races.)
- went to Pizza Express for a lovely tea
- and back to the house for presents (Extra - "You can't have too many turtles", which is perhaps as well as I couldn't resist making this one.)
- we are now back at our apartment and it is wild - we don't plan to go far tomorrow
