The most remote city in the world

This is downtown Perth, viewed from the Transperth ferry heading across the Swan River to South Perth.

We were on our way to the zoo, which we reckoned was the only way we were likely to see kangaroos and koalas. We did see both (and OB has blipped me photographing the former) though the koalas were asleep! We also saw the beautiful endangered numbat, amongst other creatures large and small.
